This is Christmas

Oh Happy Day!

Though my love for The King grows stronger each day, his holiday spirit still reeks. He'll get there...on Christmas morning around 10.

But his lack of enthusiasm allowed me to do....

Just look at what The Queen Mother and PK whipped up yesterday. WOO HOO! The Palace is all about Christmas.

Even Oliver is jazzed.

Anybody want to venture a guess on how long it will take him to be IN the tree? I shudder.

It totally feels like Christmas today!! I've got a candle burning. I've sprayed some good smellin' stuff in the air. My favorite Christmas CDs are playing.

I am always so excited to bring out the holiday tunes. My all-time favorites are Merry Christmas by Mariah Carey, Christmas by Jaci Velasquez, When My Heart Finds Christmas by Harry Connick, Jr. and Home for Christmas by Amy Grant.

I've just opened Michael W. Smith's new Christmas CD, It's a Wonderful Christmas. It is enjoyable. The first song, Christmas Angels, is great. There are several instrumental songs that are really pretty, too. It would be the perfect CD to have playing as background music during a Christmas party.

If I were so inclined as to have a Christmas party.

Which I am not.

But it would be nice for your party.

I will save the rest of the pictures for Boo Mama's Christmas Tour.

Unless Oliver has destroyed it all by then.

It's all just so festive and lovely. I can't wait to see more photos.

Here at 10, gone by 11!! Tell the King that fussy boys don't get cool presents. The house looks great and I'm so glad we put that tree up for Oliver! Where is the tree the Princess decorated?

It is beautiful!
I am home today, with a lit candle, my Monk and Neagle cd playing, and the snow falling outside. Just puttering around and it feels great to have no place to go!
I cannot wait to see your tour!
And, thanks for adding me to your blogroll...I'm glad we've found each others blogs because you crack me up everyday! I've been meaning to put you on mine too, and will do it today!

Hang some misletoe and kiss the King so he lightens up!!!

Beautiful tree. I give it 3 days before the cat has it smashed into the carpet. At least, that's how long it used to take our cat. And yes, she was de-clawed. Didn't matter. She still climbed that darn thing every year.

Which is why I'm cat-less these days.

oh, how pretty! yay decorations! I think Oliver is trying to lull you into thinking he hasn't already planned out his ascent by faking a catnap. Sneaky. So far I'm the only one who has tipped a tree over in our house, heh.

I am thrilled that I got to experience the feel of Christmas in your home firsthand. The King...well that's all I can say!

Beautiful tree! I love the red berries at the top.

As for the cat... spray the tree and the area around it with something citrus-y, like Orange Clean. They don't like that and will generally stay away from it.
